The Most Valuable Advice You Can Ever Get About Item Upgrade

World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to increase the level of equippable weapons and armor. This boosts the effectiveness of the equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or the rerolling of an affix.

It is important to remember that even though you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it's usually not worth the effort. Rare and exclusive gear will quickly outclass modernized magic and common equipment.

Cost

The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item depends on the item's current level and the type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are usually cheaper than upgrades to armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as the item is upgraded to an upper level.

Upgraded items also come with improved stats that can improve its performance in various ways. This could mean increasing its attack power critical strike chance, or damage per second. A upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to boost the overall power of a group or a single unit, and can significantly impact the gameplay.

The items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find upgrades for items in dungeons that feature high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to improve the quality of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging process used in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players need to visit an  item upgrader  to complete the process.

Upgrades can be costly, especially for weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade track you select, each item level increase will cost Crests or Valorstones. The cost can be prohibitive for those who do not have the money, or are unwilling to grind.

Fortunately the game lets players play a reroll of an upgraded item by using a special tool in the items menu. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item for an equivalent version at level 1 that has a different set of bonus effects. This can be useful to improve the roll of items that are already upgraded. However, it could be a waste of time.

Requirements

The process of upgrading equippable items like weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the level of the item. This can boost their power, making them more powerful in battle. Players can upgrade their gear by spending the appropriate amount of currency at an upgrader. However, they should be aware that some upgrades require special requirements.

Early upgrades increase the effectiveness of the base item by one level. Later upgrades offer more significant boosts. For instance, upgrading a weapon from level three to level six will increase the weapon's damage by plus two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on the level. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat and a randomly generated stat that can vary from upgrade to upgrade.

A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new one. The new item comes with different set of extra bonuses, as well as a lower level for the item. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the rerolled item will not retain its level or have any of its wasted resources.

Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was an Epic, Rare or Unique. Extraordinary items can also be rerolled, however the original stats are replaced by an uncapped bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a normal version of the same type, whereas rerolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same type.

Upgraded items could have additional modifications that can enhance their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade cost. You can buy them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by completing certain missions in the game.

To upgrade an item of equipment, visit the NPC [Armoror Boboko located in Central Flarine. Based on the kind of item, you'll require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is droppable from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time

Item upgrades are a way to boost your gear and ship stats without needing to level them up. While it's not expensive, it is a good way to improve your stats without having spend a lot of time in battle. It's crucial to be aware of the benefits and costs of upgrades to your item before you invest your money or effort.

Each upgrade boosts the stats of the item's base by to a certain extent and also gives the chance to obtain a bonus substat. The additional substat is randomly assigned and may range from a tiny increase in one stat to an even greater boost in another. Make sure to focus on the stats that work best in the slot first. They will give you a higher returns for your money.

You can see the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade when you open your inventory and select the weapon, ship or accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion date and progress. In some instances you might be able to speed up the process by using a Glyph.

It is also possible to salvage some or all upgrade components from an item using a high-end salvage kit sold by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. However, this doesn't include legendary equipment and upgrades that can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or by returning them to the appropriate merchant of karma.

Rewards

Upgrades to items reward players with a range of items and currencies. In addition, every upgrade is able to give a random stat bonus. The bonus value differs for each upgrade, and it's usually higher for rarer items. The players can perform a Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable prior to spending tickets. The search can also help determine if the item is of an appropriate tier and whether the player would benefit from a specific upgrade.

During the process of upgrading, an item will gradually grow closer to its next level, but won't always reach a fully upgraded bar. This process is based on Growthstones and Sollant but there's a chance of getting an upgraded item after just one cycle. The higher the levels an item is upgraded, the higher its stat value will be and the more items that can be upgraded.

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to gain an attribute bonus or a special effect, when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components also have cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Players can also retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging with a high tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools are able to be swapped.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button, which has a rerolling arrow, a player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for a level 1 item of the same kind. Recycled items don't keep their current level or amount of resources needed to upgrade them.

The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its tier and the quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels up to nine, while common items can only be upgraded to level six. Item upgrades are added to the base statistics of the item which means that they do not increase after a certain point.
